Mary White was born in Beaulieu in 1765 to Thomas and Mary she was baptised at Beaulieu church on 11th July of that year. She had two older brother Charles and John.
John Fielder was born in 1761 to Edward and Zipporah Fielder in Hursley, Hampshire and was baptised on 9th December of that year.
John and Mary were married by banns on 3rd August 1786 at Beaulieu church. The Rev. Comyn's notebooks show them living on the site of what is now New Inn Cottages with their eight children born between 1787 and 1805.
John is listed as a shoemaker and Mary as a schoolmistress. The nearest school at the time was Sir Harry Burard-Neale's school for girls near Cripplegate which was founded by the Rev Comyn. The alternative is Scorey's subscription school close to what is now Myrtle cottage at the southern end of the village, both the National School and British School (Masseys Lane) being established at a later date.
Mary died in 1829 prior to the period covered by the chapel's surviving burial register. John was buried at the chapel by pastor William Mursell on 5th April 1838.
John and Mary's daughter Ann White Fielder was born in 1793 and she was baptised at Beaulieu church on 15th September 1793. She married Thomas Suffield (a miller) on 20 Jul 1824 and they had four children together. By 1851 Thomas was a grocer and master baker employing one man.
Mary, born in 1832, was Thomas and Ann's youngest child. Mary never married and died in Beaulieu Rails. She was buried at the chapel by the Rev J B Burt on 1st March 1864. Her sister, Ann Biddlecombe, the wife of Benjamin, was the sole executrix of her estate.
