Ann Bennett, the daughter of John and Elizabeth (nee Suffield) was born in Beaulieu in 1799. She was baptised at church there on 30th January 1799.

Aged 21, she was baptised on 13 Jun 1820 to become a member of East Boldre's Baptist church.

The 1841 census shows her living with her older brother Charles, a shoe maker, in Beaulieu Street. In 1851 she still lived in Beaulieu, but was working as a baker. Her brother Charles, niece (Caroline, 17) and nephew (Benjamin, 5) were lodging with her. Ann and Charles' businesses are also listed in the Post Office directory of 1855

In 1861 she was still living in Beaulieu and working as a baker with her brother Charles. Another nephew, Charles, a sailor was also lodging with her.

She was buried at the chapel by the Rev John Bartlett Burt on 1st November 1863.

Unfortunately, the epitaph is not completely readable due to erosion even from the RTI imaging.
